Women’s Basketball signs Jayda Clark

Clark played in the WNBL professional league in Australia before coming to Texas.
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas women's basketball head coach Vic Schaefer announced the signing of Jayda Clark today.
Clark, a 6-0 guard from Perth, Australia, has played in the WNBL professional league in Australia for the past two years. Clark helped the Warwick Senators to the 2026 NBL1 West Championship. Clark was named the 2026 Youth Player of the Year and 2026 Warwick Senators NBL1 Women's MVP.
Clark has extensive experience representing Australia in international competition. She has played in the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup, 2022 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup and 2022 FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship.
In her last WNBL game Clark scored 36 points and connected on eight 3-pointers. She added five assists and five rebounds. Earlier in the season for the Warwick Senators, Clark poured in 33 points with seven rebounds and four assists.

Jayda has been playing in the WNBL Professional League in Australia for the past two years and she is coming to us after having a great season this year having scored 36 points in her last game. Jayda will bring experience and the ability to score the basketball at all three levels. She is a veteran player with size and strength at the guard position being able to play multiple positions."
