Nine from Men’s Swimming named to U.S. National Team roster

Six current and three former Longhorns earn spots on Team USA.
AUSTIN, Texas — A total of nine current and former University of Texas men's swimmers have been named to the 2026-27 U.S. National Team roster, USA Swimming announced Tuesday.
Six current Longhorns were selected to Team USA, including freshman Rowan Cox, senior Nate Germonprez, sophomore Aiden Hammer, senior Rex Maurer, sophomore Campbell McKean and senior Will Modglin. In addition, former Longhorns Carson Foster, Chris Giuliano and Luke Hobson were also selected to the U.S. National Team roster.
Cox was selected to compete in the 100 butterfly, and Germonprez was tabbed to compete in the 100 breaststroke. Hammer was selected to compete in the open water event, while Maurer was chosen to compete in the 400 freestyle, 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley. McKean was selected to compete in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, and Modglin was tabbed to compete in the 50 and 100 backstroke. Foster was selected to compete in the 400 and 800 freestyle, 200 butterfly, 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley. Guiliano was tabbed to compete in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle, while Hobson was chosen to compete in the 200 freestyle.
The Longhorns will open the 2026-27 season by hosting the Sam Kendricks Dust Off Your Boots Classic on Friday, Sept. 25. The meet is set for a 3 p.m. CT start at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
