Texas Athletics Performance Nutrition
The Texas Athletics Performance Nutrition staff is passionate about educating and empowering student-athletes to improve performance and overall health through proper fueling techniques.
We educate and empower through a variety of services, including:
- Individual or team consultations
- Cooking demonstrations
- Grocery store tours
- In-person food coaching at the Texas Athletics Nutrition Center (TANC)
- Nutrition education at our fuel stations, the TANC, before/after practices or via social media
- Competition fuel planning
In addition, we coordinate all body composition testing (via DEXA), and discuss results with student-athletes in one-on-one consultations.
We believe in a food-first philosophy – using food as your fuel, while enjoying the delicious process along the way. With this philosophy as our guide, and while following NCAA regulations, we provide permissible nutritional supplements and snacks at all of our facility fuel stations, and work closely with the TANC executive chef to ensure all Texas Longhorns are the best fueled student-athletes in the country.
