2006-07
One of only five players named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team...saw action in 28 games including 18 starts...recorded double-figure scoring 10 times, including nine of the last 16 contests and five of the last 10 games... first on the team in assists and assists average (137, 4.9 apg)...third in rebounding (4.5 rpg) ... 7.2 ppg, fourth-best on the squad... second in assists (5.81 apg), third in assist-turnover ratio (1.58, 5.8 assists/3.7 turnovers per game), tied for No. 4 in steals (1.75 spg) in Big 12 Conference games... totaled 137 assists on the season placing her third on UT[apos]s all-time freshman list...career-high 13 assists and nine boards vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 24)...11 points and then-career-high tying nine assists against Oklahoma St. (Feb. 21)...notched a then-career-best 16 points at Oklahoma State (Feb. 7)...tallied 11 points and eight rebounds vs. No. 4 Duke on Dec. 10...earned first Big 12 Rookie of the Week honor (Jan. 15) following a two-game performance of 26 points, nine rebounds, 12 assists, three steals with a 10-10 free throw effort in wins over Missouri and Colorado... missed early season games (vs. UL-Lafayette, Texas State) with left hamstring tendon injury.
2005-06
Was granted a medical redshirt waiver after suffering a left knee injury playing Duke on Dec. 4...played in first six game and averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 assists and 20 minutes per contest.
PRIOR TO TEXAS
Invited to the 2005 Puerto Rico National Team tryouts in summer of 2005, but deferred due to her knee rehabilitation.... played one year of high school basketball in the USA, starring at Bellaire HS in Houston for coach Mike Kramer (2003-04) as a junior... averaged 17 points, five assists and four steals per game as she led Bellaire to its first regional tourney ... earned Street & Smith Honorable Mention All-America honors ... Orlando Sentinel All-South Honorable Mention ... Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Region, All-Metro, All-District First Team selection....despite missing her senior year at Bellaire HS, was on the ballot as one of 10 Naismith HS Player of the Year finalists, tabbed Parade All-America Third Team and nominated for the McDonald[apos]s All-America Game...prior to coming to Houston, led Maria Auxiliadora High School (Carolina, Puerto Rico) to three-straight state championships and a perfect 72-0 record...2002 Puerto Rico National High School Basketball Player of the Year as a sophomore...attended the elite adidas Top 10 Camp where she earned All-America honors...starred in AAU basketball for the Houston Elite, and garnered MVP honors in leading Elite to the 2004 AAU National Championship
