Played middle linebacker, defensive end and tight end at Rouse High School in Leander, Texas … tabbed honorable mention Class 5A All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association in 2021 … appeared in 13 games his senior season, collecting 88 tackles (48 solo), 13 tackles for loss, five sacks and nine quarterback hurries, while also recovering two fumbles … also caught five passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns … helped the Raiders to a second-straight district championship and an 11-2 record (7-0 in district) with an appearance in the 5A D2 quarterfinals … as a junior, he played in 10 games and made 54 tackles (30 solo) with eight tackles for loss and two hurries, while on offense he hauled in one catch for a 5-yard touchdown … helped Rouse to a district title and a 10-2 record with an appearance in the 5A D2 regionals … also played basketball for the Raiders.
