Stanley worked for two years (2021-23) as Director of Operations – Survivor Services for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS is a nationally-recognized leader in providing peer-based emotional support to those grieving a military death. In her role, Stanley provided operational support to the organization’s Vice President and strategic guidance for a division of six teams connecting approximately 7,500 newly-bereaved military survivors coming to TAPS annually for resources and programming.
Stanley served for two years (2018-20) as Strategic Partnerships – Grant Manager for Mission Capital. She developed and streamlined processes and systems across multiple departments associated with grant management to ensure successfully maintaining a $2 million foundation budget.
Stanley also spent three previous years at TAPS in the roles of Survivor Programs – Deputy Director (2016-17), Survivor Programs - Retreat Manager (2015-16) and Survivor Programs – Retreat Program Coordinator (2014-15). She directed military survivor programs consisting of regional and national seminars, retreats and youth programs that collectively brought together more than 3,500 survivors annually at 42 events across the country.
A native of Rosenberg, Texas, Stanley received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the prestigious McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas in 2006. During her undergraduate time in Austin, she worked for two years (2004-06) as a student assistant in the Men’s Basketball office.
Stanley and her husband, Chris, reside in Dripping Springs with their two daughters, Isabella and Ava.
