Played in 37 of 38 games ... tied for third on the team in blocks (18) ... scored a career-high eight points with four rebounds and two blocks against UC Davis (Nov. 16) ... recorded career highs in rebounds (eight), blocks (three) and steals (two) to go along with seven points (2-of-3 FG, 3-of-3 FT) against Arkansas-Monticello (Nov. 18) in a career-high 21 minutes ... matched his career high with eight points (2-of-3 FG, 4-of-5 FT) against New Mexico State (Nov. 23) ... tallied two blocks and three rebounds against No. 7/7 Tennessee (Nov. 24) ... registered five points (3-of-3 FT) and four rebounds against Rice (Dec. 8) ... pulled down seven rebounds with five points (3-of-3 FT) and two blocks against Oklahoma (Feb. 23) ... followed with five points, five rebounds and two blocks at Kansas State (Feb. 25) ... posted seven points on a career-high three field goals with four rebounds against Oklahoma (Mar. 15) ... collected three rebounds in seven minutes against Miami, Fla. (head coach Joe Mantegna) ... ranked as the No. 81 prospect nationally by Rivals.com following his senior season ... posted four points, six rebounds, one block and one steal in 16 minutes for the victorious West team at the Roundball Classic in Chicago (April 3) ... tallied 21 points, nine boards and three blocks in 17 minutes for the Suburban team at the Jordan Regional Classic game in New York City (April 21) ... averaged 19 points and 14 rebounds per game while leading Blair to a 19-7 mark as a senior ... played at Central Catholic High School (San Antonio, Texas) during his sophomore and junior seasons ... averaged 22.7 points, 15 rebounds and six blocked shots per game as a junior ... earned a spot on the TAPPS Class 6A all-state team in his junior year ... also played for the Cameroon Under-20 National Team in the summer before his sophomore year (at age 15).

Buford discovered Wangmene in 2004 during the NBA[apos]s Basketball without Borders trip to South Africa when Wangmene was 15 ... attended same prep school (Blair Academy) as former UT player Royal Ivey (2001-04) ... his native tongue is French, the language spoken in Cameroon ... learned English in six months during his sophomore year at Central Catholic HS ... wears jersey No. 20 to honor his father, who wore the same number when he played in Cameroon.
