AS A JUNIOR (2013-14):
Saw action in five games and totaled eight minutes of playing time … earned the team’s Jack Gray Award at the team’s annual end-of-the-year banquet, recognizing outstanding character, citizenship, academic achievement and contributions reflective of the UT basketball program … played a season-high four minutes against Texas State (Dec. 14) … also got playing time in the final minutes against Houston Baptist (Nov. 18), Rice (Dec. 30) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 11) … earned a spot on the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls (minimum 3.0 GPA).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas (head coach Thomas Acker) ... four-year varsity letterwinner … helped his high school team to its first-ever trip to the state playoffs as a senior … set the school record for career rebounds … named the 2011 District 27-4A Defensive Player of the Year … averaged 11.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while converting 56 percent from the field during his senior season … earned All-District 27-4A honors three times … ranked fifth in his graduating class and was a four-time selection to the Academic All-District 27-4A team.
