- Broke Neil Walker’s 20-year-old school record in the 100 backstroke and placed second in the event (44.35) at the NCAA Championships
- Joined Will Licon, Joseph Schooling and Brett Ringgold to help Texas set NCAA, U.S. Open, NCAA meet, Big 12 and school records, as UT won the NCAA title in the 200 medley relay (1:21.54/20.84 leadoff) at the NCAA Championships
- Placed second in the 200 backstroke with a Big 12 and school record of 1:37.24 at the NCAA Championships

- Joined Will Licon, Joseph Schooling and John Murray to place third in the 200 medley relay (1:22.75) at the NCAA Championships; led off the relay in 20.94
- Placed 11th overall in the 100 backstroke (45.63) and the 200 backstroke (1:40.10) at the NCAA Championships
- Finished second in the 200 backstroke championship final (1:42.05), second in the 200 IM championship final (1:44.13) and second in the 100 backstroke championship final (46.08) at the Big 12 Championships
