AS A FRESHMAN:
- Placed 15th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:31.62, personal best) and recorded a personal-best 19.01 in the 50-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships. Contributed to a first-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay (1:32.72 leadoff) and added strong splits of 18.63 in the 200 free relay (4th) and 41.24 in the 400 free relay (6th)
- Placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:31.73, personal best) and added top-15 finishes in both sprint events, including 11th in the 100 free (41.98 PB) and 13th in the 50 free (19.20 PB) at the SEC Championships. Contributed to a first-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay (1:30.81 split) and a runner-up finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (41.58 leadoff PB), while also adding a 200 free relay split of 18.79 (4th)???
- Won three individual events across dual meets and invitationals, including the 50-yard freestyle (19.61) at the Sterkel Classic and both the 200-yard freestyle (1:33.66) and 100-yard freestyle (43.10) against Texas A&M
- Made his Texas debut against Alabama with victories in the 100 free (42.40) and 50 free (19.37), and added a third-place finish in the 100 free (42.41) against Tennessee

Son of Javier Fente and Muriel Damers ... has three siblings: one younger brother, Victor, and two older sisters, Sophia, 22, a senior at UT, and Sara, who swims for Lafayette ... enjoys playing chess, DJing, basketball and ping pong.
