- With a 12-0 record, Texas has won 12 games in a season for the first time in school history.
- Texas has won 19 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in school history (30, 1968-70).
- Texas has now won 15 consecutive Big 12 conference games.
- Texas wins its second Big 12 Championship (1996) and its 20th outright conference championship.

Individual Notes
Vince Young
- Young is now 29-2, the 29 wins is a new UT record for QB career victories, passing Bobby Layne (1944-47).
- With a 29-2 record, Young has a .935 winning percentage, moving him to sixth on the NCAA all-time list, passing Jay Barker of Alabama (35-2-1, .934).
- With four TDs responsible for, Young has 78 for his career setting a new UT career record, passing Ricky Williams (76).
- With three passing TDs, Young has 26 this season and has tied the UT single-season record with Chris Simms (2002).
- Young has now passed for at least two TDs in a game in 10 of 12 games this season. It is his fourth game this season with at least three in a game.
- With his 18-yard rush in the first quarter, Young moved into sixth place on UT's career rushing list with 2,888, passing A.J. Jones (2,874, 1978-81).
- Young's three passing TDs give him 44 for his career, he stands at fifth on the UT career pasing TDs list.
- Young's second-quarter rushing TD was the 34th of his career, putting him alone in fifth on UT's career rushing TDs list.
- Young has totaled at least 250 yards of total offense in nine of 12 games this season
Henry Melton
- Melton's two rushing TD give him nine this season, tying him for third on UT's freshman rushing TD list and passing Ricky Williams (1995), Butch Hadnot (1990) and Graylon Wyatt (1974). It also moved him to into a tie for fourth on the UT freshman total TD list, passing the same trio and equaling Roy Williams (2000).
Michael Griffin
- Griffin's third-quarter blocked punt was his fourth this season, tying the UT single-season record with Terrol Dillon (1999).
- Griffin's punt block was his the sixth of his career, which builds on his UT career record of five.
- With six blocked punts, Michael Griffin moved back into first on UT's career blocked kicks after Brian Robison had tied him earlier in the game.
- Griffin's third-quarter fumble recovery was his third this season and the fifth of his career.
Michael Huff
- Huff's first-quarter forced fumble was his fourth this season and the sixth of his career.
- Huff's first-quarter pass breakup gives him 44.
Jamaal Charles
- With three TDs, Charles now has 13 total TD this season season, tying him for the UT record with Cedric Benson (13, 2001).
- Charles' first-quarter TD reception is the second of his career
Brian Robison
- Robison's first-quarter FG block is the fifth blocked place kick of his career, a UT record. He is now tied with Michael Griffin (five blocked punts) for the overall UT record for blocked kicks. It was Robison's first block since 2003 when he blocked four.
David Thomas
- Thomas' second-quarter TD reception was the his sixth this season, tying him for second on UT's single-season receiving TDs by a tight end list with Derek Lewis (1998). It was the 15th of his career, a UT record he held entering the game.
- With two receptions, David Thomas has 39 this season, a new UT single-season record, breaking Pat Fitzgerald's mark of 38 in 1996.
- Thomas has caught at least three passes in five consecutive games and nine of 12 this season. He has caught at least one pass in 11 of 12.
Tarell Brown
- Brown's second-quarter INT is his first this season and the third of his career.
- Brown's third-quarter fumble recovery was the first of his career.
Limas Sweed
- Sweed's 102 receiving yards mark a career high and his first 100-yard game, he reached 102 on five catches by halftime.
- Sweed's second quarter receiving TD his fifth this season and the fifth of his career.
Ramonce Taylor
- Taylor's second-quarter 54-yard kickoff return is a career long. His previous was 43 this season at Missouri.
Quan Cosby
- Cosby's four receptions are a career high. He has also caught a pass in four consecutive games.
Selvin Young
- Young's third-quarter rushing TD is his seventh this season and the 17th of his career.
Rashad Bobino
- Bobino's third-quarter forced fumble was the first of his career.
Brandon Foster
- Foster's third-quarter blocked punt recovery was the first of his career.
