Dizdar eliminated from ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- University of Texas senior Petra Dizdar (Split, Croatia) suffered a straight-set defeat Tuesday in the qualifying round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Tennis Club.
South Florida's Liz Cruz eliminated Dizdar, winning by a 6-4, 6-4 count. Dizdar is the final Longhorn to be eliminated from the event.
Texas returns to the courts this weekend at the Rice Tennis Classic in Houston. Play begins on Friday, Oct. 6.
