Ten things you need to know about Meagan Denny

Ever wanted to know more about your favorite Texas softball players? This season, find out 10 things you need to know about them, straight from their teammates and coaches.
1. Down on the farm. "She is the most country girl on the team," says the entire team. The most popular Denny quotes is, "My whole life ... ," with a very country accent. "She doesn't know how country she is until someone repeats what she says with a little twang. She gets embarrassed about it easily," says Tina Boutelle. "When she goes home, she works on her family's friends' farm and loves to play with the pigs! She even has a goat named Bevo," says Kelly Melone.
2. Chef Denny. "She loves to come up with recipes and share them with the team, though I have yet to benefit from her creative cooking," says freshman Kacie Gaskin. Apparently Megan is a great cook but no one on the team has experienced it. Let's get some of that food we have been hearing about, huh?
3. Hit the showers. I am sure everyone knows this about Ms. Denny, she sweats a lot. It can be during practice, workouts with the strength coach during in games. "The managers have to bring extra shorts, undershirts and jerseys just for Meagan. She sweats right through them before the game even starts," says Tina Boutelle.
4. Meagan's Videos open 24 hours. "She has an array of movies she owns. I don't even need to go to Blockbuster because Meagan is my very own Blockbuster down the street," says fellow sophomore Desiree Williams. Blockbuster, watch out ... she might send you out of business.
5. My Big Fat Country Family. "She has a great love for her family! I remember going to watch her pitch the summer before she came to Texas and the place was packed. Little did I know that the stands were full of every extension of her family. They give her so much support and she gives it right back. I also got to meet the whole group as well! - please don't quiz me on names," says Coach Marla Looper. "She is very family-oriented," says Jackie Williams.
6. Maid for Hire. "Meagan loves doing laundry! She loves the smell and feel of clothes fresh from the dryer, but she hates folding them afterwards," says freshman Brittany Reliford. Is anyone looking for a maid who's willing to cook and wash clothes but not fold them for you?
7. She's taken. Junior Megan Willis says, "I just found out recently that Meagan has been given a promise ring from her boyfriend. Sorry boys." She is a very loving and caring lady who has found a man who's the exact same way. You go girl!
8. Award for Most Random Comments. "She likes to make comparisons that are off the wall. For example, 'this chap stick tastes like Florida' and 'those noodles tasted like a rodeo,'" says Cat Osterman. Such a sweet girl but where do these comments come from?
9. No Mean Bone. "She loves to smile and make others happy. She has the best smile on the team." says Amber Hall. "She doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she can throw a mean rise ball at you. Her pet peeve is when people are mad at her," says senior Chez Sievers.
10. True Life: I'm addicted to country music. "She is the only one that can make me listen to country music," says freshman Shannon Thomas. "We karaoked to Gretchen Wilson's All Jacked Up at Tina's house one night," says fellow sophomore Mickayla Padilla. "That girls loves her Country Music Television," says Jac Daniels. If you walk into the locker room and Meagan is already in there, you can be guaranteed the TV is on CMT!
