Men's Tennis concludes play at UTSA Invitational

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas juniors Miguel Reyes Varela and Jonah Kane-West were among the singles draws champions at the UTSA Invitational contested Oct. 5 and 6 on the UTSA campus.
Reyes Varela (Cocoyoc, Mexico) outlasted Texas Tech's Ilya Babinciuc in the finals of the blue singles draw, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6, and Kane-West (Free Union, Va.) posted four victories to claim the white singles draw.
Sophomore Jon Wiegand (San Antonio, Texas) claimed the consolation bracket in the orange singles draw.
Texas returns to action on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas.
