Marcus Griffin named to ESPN.com All-America Team

Senior S Marcus Griffin was named to the ESPN.com All-America Team that was compiled by Ivan Maisel and released on the Web site Monday.
Griffin joins senior OT Tony Hills, senior DT Frank Okam and junior RB Jamaal Charles as Longhorns named to All-America teams. Hills picked up first-team honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Okam was selected third-team All-America by The Associated Press and Charles was tabbed honorable mention All-America by SI.com.
Griffin, who was named first-team All-Big 12 by the league¹s coaches, leads the team in tackles with 97 to go along with a TFL, three INTs, five PBU, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He returned one of his INTs 91 yards for a TD at Baylor, which marked the third-longest INT return in UT history and the longest in 71 years. He also has posted five 10-tackle games in 2007.
For his career, Griffin has posted 229 tackles, a sack, three TFL, four INTs, eight PBU, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his 48 games.
