Middleton meets provisional standard in 10K at Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. -- Texas track and field All-American Andrew Middleton met the NCAA provisional standard in the 10,000-meter run with a lifetime-best time of 28 minutes, 54.87 seconds at the 2007 Nike Stanford Invitational, late Saturday night (March 31).
Middleton finished 17th in the elite section of the 10K group. He improved his third-place standing on the UT all-time Longhorn performers list and moved closer to the fifth place on the all-time performances lists. He becomes one of only two Longhorns to run under 29 minutes ever.
UT returns to the track from Wednesday to Saturday, April 4-7 for the 2007 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium.
