Manzano advances to finals at U.S. Championships

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two-time NCAA champion Leo Manzano advanced to the finals of the 1,500-meter run on Friday, June 22, after completing the first round of racing at the 2007 AT&T Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Manzano led all advancers rounding the track at the Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium in three minutes, 9.29 seconds. It marks the consecutive sub-3:40 performance as he ran 3:37.48 in taking second at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 9.
Manzano returns to the track on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. Two-time NCAA champion Andra Manson and All-American Derek Randall also take the stage on Sunday, with the high jump at 11:15 a.m., and the discus at 11:20 a.m. All times are Central.
