AUSTIN, Texas -- Longhorns fans will have one more opportunity to get a first-hand look at the Texas Football team as it prepares for its season opener versus Arkansas State on Sept. 1 (6 p.m./FSN pay-per-view).
Fans are invited to attend a scrimmage at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18. That day also is Texas' annual Fan Appreciation Day presented by Wendy's.
East side stadium gates will open at 7 a.m. Due to the ongoing construction, fans will be limited to sitting in the east side stands.
Following the scrimmage, seniors and starters from the UT squad will be available for autographs beginning around 10:30 a.m. Fans age 16 and over will be required to show a photo ID in order to request autographs and will be limited to two autograph items per person. Numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 7 a.m., so there will be no need to stand in line during the scrimmage.
Parking will be available in the Manor Garage, across from the east side of the stadium. Due to construction on Clyde Littlefield Dr. patrons must use the southwest entrance to the garage on Robert Dedman Dr.
