Tevan Everett wins 800m, vaulting duo finish in top 10 at Arkansas Last Chance

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.. -- Junior Tevan Everett (pictured) met the NCAA provisional mark in the winning the 800-meter, and pole vaulters Maston Wallace and Will Paine finished in the top eight at the 2008 Arkansas Last Chance meet on Friday.
Everett (Bel-Aire, Kan.) posted a season-best 1:49.55 to meet the provisional mark for the first time this year. The reigning two-time Big 12 600-yard champion moved into fourth-place on UT's top-10 all-time, and posted a mark that is in the top 25 in the NCAA this season.
First-year Longhorn Wallace (Houston, Texas) vaulted 16-9.25 (5.11m) for fifth place. Paine, a Houston native in his second season at Texas, cleared 16-3.25 (4.96m) for eighth. Both met the NCAA provisional standard earlier this season, and have vaults in the top 30 in the nation.
Texas concludes the indoor season at the 2008 NCAA Track and Field Championship from Friday-Saturday, March 14-15 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
