McGee signs three-year contract with Eagles

Former Texas P/K Richmond McGee signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles recently.
McGee completed his career at Texas following the 2005 National Championship season. He claimed UT's punting duties in the spring of 2003 and also has handled kickoff duties for most of his career. He averaged 39.6 yards per kick on 130 punts in 51 career games. Of his 265 career kickoffs, 96 were for touchbacks (36%).
In 2005, McGee punted 35 times for an average of 37.9 yards per kick and dropped 11 inside the 20-yard line. He also kicked off 16 times with five touchbacks.
McGee now joins a group of former Longhorns specials in the NFL that includes K Phil Dawson of the Cleveland Browns and DS Cullen Loeffler of the Minnesota Vikings.
