Texas-Ex Tinnon reaches 100m breaststroke finals at U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials

OMAHA, Neb. -- Texas-Ex Elizabeth Tinnon took sixth in the 100-meter breaststroke semifinals to land a spot in the finals Monday evening on day two of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials-Swimming at Qwest Center Omaha.
Tinnon (2004-07) took sixth in the semifinals in 1:08.43 to clinch a spot in Tuesday's finals.A top-two finish in the finals would give Tinnon a spot on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team.
Also reaching Tuesday's finals session was incoming freshman Katie Riefenstahl, who took seventh in the 100-meter backstroke semifinals in 1:01.12.Like Tinnon, Riefenstahl would nail down an Olympic berth with a top-two finish Tuesday evening.
Day three of the U.S. Olympic Trials-Swimming gets underway on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Central. The USA network will air live semifinals and finals coverage on Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. Central.
