Tinnon, Riefenstahl place eighth in respective finals at U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials

OMAHA, Neb. -- Texas-Ex Elizabeth Tinnon took eighth in the 100-meter breaststroke, and incoming freshman Katie Riefenstahl added an eighth-place showing in the 100-meter backstroke to highlight day three for the Longhorns Tuesday at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials-Swimming at Qwest Center Omaha.
Tinnon (Bowling Green, Ky.) placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.16, as Jessica Hardy claimed the event in 1:06.87. Riefenstahl (Blue Bell, Pa.), who also swam in the semifinals of the 200-meter freestyle, took eighth overall in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.59.
Riefenstahl took 13th in the 200-meter freestyle in 1:59.70.
Day four of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials-Swimming gets underway on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Central.
