TEAM NOTES
- Texas held Oklahoma State to 14 points for the first time since their season-opener against Georgia in 2007, a stretch of 33 games.
- Texas has held its opponents to 14 points or less in six of eight games this season, including five straight.
- Texas held Oklahoma State to 277 total yards, which is their lowest output of the season. It is the Cowboys lowest output since the season-opener against Georgia in 2007, a stretch of 33 games.
- In the last five games, the Texas defense has allowed an average of 188 total yards per game. Overall, the Horns have given up just 941 yards on 303 plays (3.1 ypp).
- Texas' 24-7 lead at halftime marked the first time since its 2001 visit that UT has led at the half in Stillwater. In addition, Texas' 3-0 lead after the first quarter marked the first time since 1999 that UT led after the first quarter in Stillwater.
- With two INT returns for TDs, Texas now has nine non-offensive TDs this season, which leads the nation. The nine non-offensive TDs are the most for UT since it had nine in 2003.
- Texas had two INT returns for TDs in the same game for the first time since the New Mexico State game of 2003. In that game, DB Michael Huff had a 55-yard TD return and LB Derrick Johnson had a 47-yard TD return
- Texas had four interceptions in a game for the second time this season. They also had four in their 64-7 victory over UTEP.
- The Longhorns have now forced 26 turnovers this season, which are 10 more than the 16 they forced in the entire 2008 season.

- UT is now 91-13 when outpassing an opponent.
- UT is now 77-5 when forcing more turnovers than the opponent.
- UT is now 89-7 when scoring first
- UT is now 118-13 when scoring more than 20 points
- UT is now 101-7 when leading at halftime.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Sam Acho
- Acho's forced fumble was his first of the season and the second of his career.
Chykie Brown
- Chykie Brown's INT was his second of the season and the second for his career.
Curtis Brown
- Curtis Brown's INT was the first of his career. His 77-yard INT return for a TD also was the first of his career. It is the 11th longest INT return in UT history.
Blake Gideon
- Gideon's fumble recovery was the first of his career.
- Gideon's INT was his fourth of the season and the fourth of his career.
Cody Johnson
- Johnson's two TD runs give him seven on the season and 19 for his career.
Hunter Lawrence
- Lawrence converted 25 and 40-yard field goals. He is now 16-of-18 (.889) on the season and 26-of-30 for his career. His career .867 percentage ranks first in UT history among kickers who have attempted at least 25 field goals.
- Lawrence is 5-of-6 on field goal attempts of at least 40 yards this season with the only miss being a 54-yard attempt against UTEP. For his career, Lawrence is 9-of-11 on attempts of at least 40 yards.
Colt McCoy
- With a 40-7 career record, McCoy passed Peyton Manning (Tennessee, 39-6) for second place on the NCAA all-time list for career victories.
- McCoy's TD pass gives him 15 for the season and 100 for his career. His 100 career TD passes are tied for eighth on the NCAA all-time list with Marshall's Chad Pennington.
- McCoy extended his school-record streak to 25 consecutive games with a TD pass. His 25-game streak is the longest active streak in the nation.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 44 of his 47 starts.
- With his TD pass, McCoy has been responsible for 118 TDs during his career. He ranks ninth on the NCAA all-time list for career TDs responsible for.
Jordan Shipley
- Shipley posted three receptions for 29 yards on UT's game-opening field goal drive.
- Shipley posted six receptions for 64 yards in the first half. Four of the six receptions went for first downs.
Earl Thomas
- Thomas' INT was his sixth of the season and the eighth of his career.
- Thomas' 31-yard INT return for a TD was his second TD return this season, which is tied for first on UT's single-season list. He also had a 92-yard TD return against Colorado.
- Thomas' 123 return yards on INTs this season rank third on UT's single-season list.
Malcolm Williams
- Williams' 11-yard TD reception was his first of the season and the fourth of his career.
