The 2009 NFL Combine wrapped up in Indianapolis on Tuesday and Longhorns were among the top performers in several categories.
Brian Orakpo's day was cut short by a hamstring injury Monday, however he had completed a portion of his drills and was one of the top performers in all of those areas.
"I was doing really well, but I started to feel my hamstring in my second 40 run," Orakpo said. "We went to the position drills and I really felt it. The smart thing to do was stop so I can heal and be 100 percent on Texas Pro Day."
Among defensive linemen, Orakpo had the second-best vertical jump (39.5 inches), third-fastest 40-yard dash (4.70 seconds) and was tied for seventh in the bench press with 31 reps.
Quan Cosby, Roy Miller and Chris Ogbonnaya also all registered scores among the top performers. Cosby ran a 4.44-second 40-yard dash, which was tied for 10th among wide receivers.
Miller was second among defensive linemen in the bench press with 36 reps. Meanwhile, Ogbonnaya had a time of 6.85 seconds in the three-cone drill, which was third among running backs, and a time of 4.29 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle, which was 10th in that group.
