POST-ROUND QUOTES
Head Coach Martha Richards
On Texas' performance in the NCAA Championship: I'm proud of this team. They didn't give up on a very challenging course, and there was no quit in them. They represented Texas with a lot of class, and they did things the way we wanted them to. We would have liked lower numbers on the scorecards, but we played a lot of good golf. This is a good building block for Shannon (Fish) and Nicole (Vandermade) when they return next year.
On her second season at The University of Texas: Overall, this has been a really good year. We did a lot of good things, and getting to the NCAA Championship was a highlight for us, especially when naysayers thought that we wouldn't be here. This group has been through a lot. Any time there is a coaching change, it takes awhile to adapt. For this year's senior class to advance to the national championship two years in a row really sets a tone for the direction of the program, and they've been a part of that.
