Young added to AFC Pro Bowl roster

Former UT and current Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young has been added to the 2010 AFC Pro Bowl roster, the National Football League has announced.
Young joins three other former Longhorns in the game, including Dallas Cowboys OG Leonard Davis, Pittsburgh Steelers DT Casey Hampton and Washington Redskins LB/DE Brian Orakpo.
It marks the third time Texas has had four former players in the game, including 1957 and 1968.
With the selections, there has been at least one former Longhorn chosen in nine consecutive years, which matches the UT record (1952-60, 1967-75). They also give Texas five straight years with at least two participants, and it is the eighth time overall there have been three or more Longhorns in the game.
Young will make his second Pro Bowl appearance after earning a spot following his rookie season in the 2007 game. That year he became the first rookie QB to play in a Pro Bowl.
Davis has now been selected to three consecutive Pro Bowls, while Hampton has made five overall, including 2004, '06, '07 and '08. The five appearances tie the UT record shared by Earl Campbell, Bobby Layne, Bud McFadin and Tommy Nobis.
Orakpo joins Young as a rookie Pro Bowler in the last four years. He also becomes the 35th different player in UT history to reach the Pro Bowl for a total of 84 appearances.
The 2010 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, and televised live on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. Central from Dolphin Stadium in South Florida.
