What has it been like being in Mobile, Ala., leading up to the Senior Bowl?
It's been good just being with some of the biggest names in college football. [I've been] getting a chance to meet with coaches and getting a chance to get interviews with them so it's a great experience and I think everybody should get a chance to experience it.
What's it like dealing with the scouts?
I have had interviews with a lot of teams, just interviewing you and they ask you about your background, stuff that they want you to say, but I think I have been doing a good job and I've enjoyed it so far.
What's your favorite part about participating in the Senior Bowl?
Getting to be with the players from different schools and to see how they are and hang out with them and talk about college football and talk about different stuff and just enjoying the company.
Have you connected with any players in particular?
[Former Alabama defensive tackle] Terrence Cody and I have actually gotten pretty cool.
What is your schedule like up until the game and then after the game is over?
We meet in the morning and practice, and then after practice we have interviews from about 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with different scouts. After I'm done with the Senior Bowl, I'm going to go back to California and train again in [Los Angeles] where I've been training up to this point.
What have you focused on in your training?
It's just a different type of training, different techniques and they're trying to make you more explosive and make you more durable I guess you could say, trying to get your endurance high, not that much different from what Mad Dog does. He does a great job of preparing us for what we're facing now, just like (defensive tackles) coach Tolley (Mike Tolleson).
Have you enjoyed being around [former Texas LB] Roddrick Muckelroy at the Senior Bowl?
Me and [Muckelroy] are roommates and he's looking really good, he's playing well, playing fast and the coaches really like him.
What have you focused on in your game this week?
Just keep playing, playing with a high motor. I'm getting used to different coaching styles and trying to play in their defenses instead of playing the way I'm used to. It's been a good experience.
