- The nationally-ranked Texas men return to Princeton, N.J. to defend last year's team victory at the Princeton Invitational. The Longhorns were led by Brock Simmons' third-place overall finish in a time of 25:08.40. Texas scored 35 points to edge out Princeton for the meet victory.
- The Longhorns have raced once previously this season, winning a dual meet with Texas State. Texas runners finished in the top four spots and eight of the top 10. The Longhorns were led by freshman Will Nation who won the race in 25:32.4 and was named Big 12 Runner of the Week.
- The next meet for the Longhorns will be Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Big 12 Championship in Stillwater, Okla.
