- Texas improved to 2-0 all-time against Florida Atlantic and 15-0 against current members of the Sun Belt Conference.
- Texas matched a season-high with 24 first-half points, equaling the tally they scored against Rice in the season opener.

- Acho passed Brian Orakpo (22 - 2005-08), Cory Redding (22 - 1999-2002), Shane Dronett (22-1989-91) and James Patton (1988-91) to move into 10th place on UT's career sack list with 23.5.
- Acho's fumble recovery in the fourth quarter was his fourth of the season and the eighth of his career. He moved into sole possession of fourth place on UT's career list and a tie with 12 other places for third place on the single-season list.
