COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Texas men's track and field team scored 56 points to finish seventh at the Big 12 Championships. After entering the day with 34 points, the Horns added 22 points on the final day, led by third-place finishes from junior Jamal Wilson in the high jump and freshman Keiron Stewart in the 110-meter hurdles.
Wilson had to deal with a driving rain during the entire event, but managed to clear 6-10.75 on his first attempt, which pushed him ahead of Texas Tech's Darrell Roddick, who cleared the height on his third attempt. Wilson opened at 6-6.75, clearing on his first attempt. It took three attempts for him to clear 6-8.75, before the first-attempt clearance at 6-10.75.
