AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas Men's Cross Country team placed seven of its runners in the top eight to win its dual meet with Texas State Friday morning out at St. Andrew's Episcopal . Texas freshman Will Nation claimed the individual title with a time of 25:32.4.
A trio of Longhorn underclassmen crossed the line just after Nation in redshirt freshman Phil Wood (25:32.5), sophomore Collin Smith (25:32.6) and redshirt freshman Joey Niland (25:53.4).
Sophomore Raymond Joseph finished sixth in 26:11.7 followed by sophomores Kirk Wilkinson in 26:20.2 and Chase Rathke in 26:26.0 for seventh and eighth, respectively.
