No. 26 Women's Tennis blanks Kansas, 6-0

LAWRENCE, Kan. - No. 26 Texas (10-4, 5-0 Big 12) took the doubles point and added five singles wins in a 6-0 win over Kansas (6-7, 0-3 Big 12) Saturday afternoon at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
The Longhorns opened the doubles session with victories at the second and third slots to clinch the doubles point. Junior Krista Damico and sophomore Aeriel Ellis led off with an 8-3 win over Erin Wilbert and Sara Lazarevic at second doubles before UT's Juliana Gajic and Maggie Mello handed Monica Pezzotti and Paulina Los an 8-6 defeat at the third slot to nail down the doubles point.
Mello added on to the Texas lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Lazarevic at third singles, and Damico stretched the lead to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Pezzotti at the second slot. Senior Caroline Larsson clinched the victory for the Longhorns at fifth singles, where she posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Wilbert.
Senior Amanda Craddock staked Texas to a 5-0 lead after defeating KU's Los by a 6-3, 6-1 margin at fourth singles. UT's Ellis finished out the scoring with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ekaterina Morozova at first singles. The match at sixth singles was not completed.
Texas resumes Big 12 Conference play on Friday, April 1 when it visits Texas Tech.
