Why did you choose to attend the University of Texas?
I think mainly just the family atmosphere and the way the coaches and their wives all like to get so involved. It just really felt like a family and I felt really comfortable here, and it was somewhere that I knew that I was probably going to end up in the future. So that's basically how I based my decisions.
What are your thoughts about the coaching staff here at Texas?
Like Coach Brown said, I think they've all kind of meshed as a coaching staff and each one of these guys is a great coach and great man. I've come in here several times before, and every time I've been in here they've just been really nice to me. Coach [Darrell] Wyatt, my receivers coach, we've really bonded.
What do you think about the facilities here at Texas?

I think it's the best. Texas is the best in my opinion, and they're going to have the best things. I knew that all along that they'd have the best facilities, so I'm not worried about that.
What was your senior season of high school football like?
It was sad. I think mainly because my dad was my coach and we had a really special bond. I was trying to win that semifinal game so we could go on to the state game, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Everything's OK and I'm really excited to be here now, and I'm just starting a new chapter in my life.
What have you been doing this summer?

I've been working out with my brother a lot, but this last month or so I haven't been able to do as much because he's been doing wedding stuff because he just got married. Other than that, just working out with him, running routes and stuff like that and trying to work on the mental side of the game as well.
What was it like meeting your fellow 2011 recruits?
It's awesome. Some of these guys I hadn't actually met until I got here. I knew them but I hadn't really officially introduced myself to some of them. A lot of these guys I'm already really good friends with, and we have numbers and we text and stuff. It's just one of those things where I'm kind of meeting up with some buddies I already knew. So it's been really good and a fun experience so far.
How are you feeling about starting your college career?
It's really crazy. Yesterday, I was still in Brownwood having a normal day, and then I wake up this morning and head to Austin and I'm officially here. I had several of my buddies spend the night with me last night and I had to wake up and tell them goodbye this morning, and it was really sad. It's just one of those things where my whole life is changed now and I have to grow up and be a college boy.
What will it be like to see your name on a Texas jersey?

It's going to feel awesome just following the footsteps of my brother. I know there's a lot of pressure put on me but that's something I look forward to, just seeing how I will compare to him in a Longhorn jersey. I'm really excited and really looking forward to it.
