Bispo helps USA to gold medal at World University Games

SHENZHEN, China - Texas senior Karlee Bispo led off Team USA's gold medal-winning 4x200-meter freestyle relay and collected her first gold medal at an international meet Wednesday on day four of the 2011 World University Games.
Bispo (Modesto, Calif.) joined Chelsea Nauta, Kate Dwelley and Megan Romano to win gold in the event in 7 minutes, 55.02 seconds. Bispo, a three-time All-American in the short-course version of the 4x200 freestyle relay with the Longhorns, led off the relay in 2:00.19. New Zealand claimed the silver medal in 7:59.60, and China won the bronze in 7:59.62.
Bispo claimed the bronze medal in the 200m freestyle on Tuesday. The 16-time All-American is set to compete in the 50m freestyle on Friday.
