Longhorns Prepare for Grass Routes Grand Prix

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas men's cross country team will compete in the Grass Routes Grand Prix Friday at 8:15 p.m. at the Morris Williams Golf Course in Austin.
The race will be an 8K with the University of Texas-Arlington, Concordia, Dallas Baptist, Midwestern State, Houston, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas Tech all scheduled to join the Longhorns.
Texas enters the race ranked 24th nationally and second in the south central region. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is ranked sixth in the region while Houston stands at ninth. Texas Tech is ranked 15th in the Mountain region.
It will be the first action for the Longhorns since Sept. 1 when they defeated the University of Texas at San Antonio 26-29 in a dual meet format.
