Women's Cross Country to compete in Grass Routes Grand Prix

AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas women's cross country will race in the Grass Routes Grand Prix in Austin on Friday at the Morris Williams Golf Course with the race scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Joining the Longhorns in the 6K race will be Texas Tech, Houston, University of Texas-Arlington, Texas A&M, Lamar, University of Texas-Pan American, Dallas Baptist and Midwestern State.
Texas is ranked first in the south central region and No. 14 in the country while Texas Tech is ranked 25th nationally and fourth in the Mountain region. Also ranked in the South Central region is Texas A&M (No. 3), Houston (No. 11) and Lamar (No. 12).
Texas swept the top two team spots at the Johnny Morris Invitational in Houston on Sept. 2 in its first competition of the year.
