Sitaram and Whitehead win fourth straight match for berth in Main Draw

TULSA, Okla. - Junior Sudanwa Sitaram and senior Daniel Whitehead teamed up to win their fourth consecutive doubles match on Wednesday to earn a berth in the Main Draw at the ITA All-American Championships.
With two wins on Wednesday, Sitaram and Whitehead are one of eight doubles teams to advance out of the Qualifying Draw, which began with 64 teams.
Sitaram and Whitehead defeated Gerardo Meza and Ayrton Wibowo of Clemson in the third round by a score of 8-4. The pair then held serve for the entire match to defeat 41st-ranked Jordan Angus and Malte Stropp of Mississippi State, 8-6, to clinch a spot in the Main Draw.
Texas will have two teams competing in the doubles Main Draw as the returning top-10 team of David Holiner and Chris Camillone received an automatic bid to the draw.
The singles Main Draw will also begin tomorrow with No. 42 Soren Hess-Olesen and No. 46 Daniel Whitehead in action for the Longhorns.
