The 2012 Texas Football Spring Jamboree presented by Time Warner Cable will take place on Sunday, April 1, at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. It begins with the annual Fan Fest at 11:30 a.m. in the Red McCombs Red Zone, followed by the Orange-White Scrimmage, which will be broadcast live on the Longhorn Network and on 103.1 FM/AM-1300 The Zone at 2 p.m. Central.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., 1998 Heisman Trophy Winner and Longhorns legend Ricky Williams will be honored during a statue dedication ceremony. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats for this special celebration as the presentation will be carried live on the videoboard. Head Coach Mack Brown, former teammate Wane McGarity, and legendary college football announcer Brent Musburger will be among those honoring Ricky during the statue unveiling. To commemorate the event, UT Athletics will be distributing 10,000 Ricky Williams posters to fans at the conclusion of the Orange-White game.
Admission to all events is FREE. Activities inside the Red McCombs Red Zone will include an inflatable moonwalk, super slide, and bungee run. Photo opportunities with Bevo, Big Bertha, and life-size cutouts of former Texas Football legends will also be available. Arrive early for giveaways including window signs, mini-footballs, drawstring backpacks, and football yearbooks while supplies last.
At noon, fans are encouraged to cheer on the Texas Football team as they arrive at the Tom & Cinda Hicks North Gate.
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. with open seating (upper decks will be closed). FREE parking is available at the Manor and San Jacinto Garages in addition to the LBJ parking lot and lots 70, 80 and 99, which are located off of Robert Dedman Drive, south of Mike Myers Stadium. Lot 80 must be entered from 20th Street.
