Stephens leads Women's Golf in final round at rain-shortened Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Texas Women's Golf junior Haley Stephens completed her weather-delayed second round at 2-over-par 73 in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Sunday morning to finish in a team-best tie for 17th place at 7-over 149 (76-73). The Longhorns posted a two-round score of 617 (+49) to tie for 11th place in the event, which was shortened to 36 holes after severe storms postponed the second round on Saturday.
Senior Nicole Vandermade (77-79), junior Madison Pressel (76-80) and freshman Bertine Strauss (76-80) tied for 49th place at 14-over 156. Senior Megan Rosenfeld (77-82=159) rounded out the UT contingent in a tie for 62nd place.
Alabama (288-283) claimed the team title by 11 strokes with a score of 571 (+3). North Carolina (292-290) took second with a 582, followed by Vanderbilt (299-294=593), UCF (297-299=596) and Virginia (297-301=598).
Alabama's Stephanie Meadow (67-70) won medalist honors after posting two rounds under par. Meadow shot a 1-under 70 on Sunday and finished the tournament with a total of 137 (-5).
