Farah O’Keefe is tied for first place with 3-under 137.
FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 5 Texas Women's Golf team ended the first two rounds of Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational in second place. The Longhorns have three players in the top-10 on the individual leaderboard.
Texas is sitting at second place with 9-over 569 in two rounds, seven shots behind first place Stanford at 2-over 562. Farah O'Keefe, Lauren Kim, and Vivian Lu are all within top-10 after two rounds of play.
O'Keefe carded a 3-under 137 after round two and is one shot ahead of third place Kelly Xu from Stanford and Rianne Malixi from Duke. O'Keefe made three straight birdies on hole 12, 13, and 14 in round one, ending the day with ten birdies in two rounds of play.
Lauren Kim recorded five birdies and is 1-over 141 to conclude two rounds. Kim is one shot behind Meja Örtengren from Stanford and is tied at sixth place. Vivian Lu registered 2-over 142 competing as individual. Lu added six birdies and is tied at ninth place, one shot behind tied sixth place.
The Longhorns will play round three at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. CT on hole 1.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe put up ten birdies with 3-under 137 after two rounds of play. O'Keefe is tied at first place with Kiara Romero from Oregon and is one shot ahead of third place.
Lauren Kim registered 1-over 141 after round two with five birdies. Kim T6 on the individual leaderboard, one shot behind fifth place Meja Örtengren from Stanford.
Cindy Hsu recorded 6-over 146 in two rounds on Monday. Hsu carded seven birdies and is T27 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo totaled five birdies and ended two rounds at 6-over 146. Heo is T27 on the individual leaderboard.
Selina Liao birdied hole 3, 6, and 15 in round one and hole 17 in round two to put up 7-over 147 on Monday. Liao ended the day T34 on the individual leaderboard.
Vivian Lu (IND) added six birdies in two rounds of to put up 2-over 142 to end the day. Lu is T9 on the individual leaderboard and is one shot behind tied sixth place.
