Bispo named to Capital One Academic All-America team

AUSTIN, Texas - Senior swimmer Karlee Bispo has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America at-large team for the second straight year.
Bispo, a native of Modesto, Calif., was placed on the second team after garnering third team honors a year ago. She is an exercise science and pre-med major with a GPA of 3.35. She became eligible for the Academic All-America team after earning first team Academic All-District 7 honors.
In her final season of eligibility, Bispo led the Texas Women's Swimming & Diving team to a ninth place finish at the NCAA Championships in March. Bispo broke two of her own school records and tallied seven total All-America honors while posting the seventh highest individual point total at the meet.
Bispo has been training since the end of the season to get ready for Olympic Trials which will take place in Omaha, Neb. June 25-July 2.
