Attendance:
- The game attendance was 100,990, which is the 12th-largest crowd in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium history. It is the 19th all-time game at DKR with an attendance of 100,000 or more.

TEAM NOTES
The series: The Longhorns have won all three games in the series, outscoring the Lobos 139-0. The teams also met in 1948 and 1988. Texas won both of those contests by a score of 47-0.
Defensive shutout: UT's defense earned its second shutout in two seasons. The last time the Longhorns shutout an opponent was on Oct. 29, 2011, against Kansas.
In the (red)zone: UT was 4-for-4 in red-zone opportunities on Saturday and are now 10-for-10 on the season (9 TDs, 1 FG).
Mack's career wins: Today marked Mack Brown's 229th career win, tying Jim Tressel for 13th on the NCAA all-time victories list. Brown is one of three active coaches with 200 or more victories at the FBS level.
Picking it off: Quandre Diggs picked off his fifth career pass in the second quarter. It was the Longhorns' third pick of the season. Three of the four starting defensive backs have recorded interceptions this season. Kenny Vaccaro and Carrington Byndom each had one against Wyoming.
Scoreless streak: The Longhorns have allowed just one score (touchdown at 14:54 of fourth quarter vs. Wyoming) in the last 108:36 of play.
Efficient drives: The Longhorns have scored on 12 of their last 17 possessions.
Halftime adjustments: The Longhorns took the second-half kickoff and drove 75 yards in six plays to take a 24-0 lead. After a three-and-out by the UT defense, the offense drove 88 yards on 11 plays to take a commanding 31-0 lead. Texas outgained New Mexico 163 to 35 in the third quarter.
Deep receiver options: UT threw to 12 different receivers on Saturday. Seven receivers caught two or more passes from QBs David Ash and Case McCoy. Ten receivers caught passes from Ash last week.
Third-down efficiency: The Horns were 10 of 14 (71.4%) in third-down efficiency against New Mexico and are now 19 of 31 (61.2%) on the season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
David Ash, QB
- Started his eighth career game.
- Completed 16-of-22 passes for a career-high 221 yards.
- Scored his second career rushing TD on the opening drive of the game, going 49 yards on a fourth-and-1 play. It was the longest rush by a QB since Colt McCoy went for 65 against Texas A&M on Nov. 26, 2009.
- Has made 73 passing attempts without an interception. Last interception was against K-State on Nov. 19, 2011.
Joe Bergeron, RB
- Led the team in rushing yards for the second consecutive week - netting 49 yards with one TD.
Jackson Jeffcoat, DE
- Recorded his first sack of the season and now has 11.5 in his career.
Jordan Hicks, LB
- Led the Horns with nine tackles, including 1.5 for loss.
Daje Johnson, RB
- Made his first career appearance. Posted three receptions for 66 yards and one touchdown.
Mykkele Thompson, DB
- After forcing a fumble last week, he blocked his second career punt (also vs. Iowa State, 2011).
Mike Davis, WR
- Caught three passes for 30 yards with one TD reception.
- Ended Saturday's game one catch away from his 100th career reception.
Quandre Diggs, CB
- Recorded fifth career interception (first of season) to end UNM's second-quarter drive in UT territory.
- His 38-yard punt return set up a touchdown reception for Mike Davis late in the second quarter.
Case McCoy, QB
- Played the entire fourth quarter under center.
- Gained 64 yards with one touchdown on five passing completions (5-8).
D.J. Monroe, RB
- Rushed for a 6-yard touchdown from the Wildcat formation in the fourth quarter. He now has 2,005 career all-purpose yards.
