No. 23 Men's Tennis wins eight to open Key Biscayne Invitational

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - University of Texas men's tennis began the 2013 spring season with a combined 8-4 record in singles and doubles competition on the first day of the Key Biscayne Invitational at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park.
"I thought our two freshmen - Andrew [Korinek] and Nick [Naumann] - keep playing very well," head coach Michael Center said. "They keep improving at a rapid rate. I really liked the way they handled themselves out there today. As a team, we have to play a lot more tennis to prepare for our dual match season."
Korinek defeated Max Kramer (Denver) in three sets in singles competition. After losing the first set, 1-6, Korinek won the last two in convincing fashion - 6-1 and 6-2. Naumann also lost his first set in singles competition to Fabio Biasian (Deniver) won the match with 6-2 and 6-1 set victories.
Junior David Holiner and senior Ben Chen also notched wins in singles play to bring UT's singles record to 4-3.
The Longhorns went 3-1 in doubles matches against No. 20 Michigan and 1-0 against LSU.
Tomorrow the Longhorns will face Denver in doubles competition and LSU in singles.
