Senior defensive end earns a spot on the second team.
The postseason accolades continue to roll in for senior defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, who was named a second team All-American by USA TODAY on Wednesday.
Jeffcoat has captured the 2013 Ted Hendricks Award and been voted BIg 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year by the league's coaches (shared with TCU's Jason Verrett) and the Associated Press.
The Plano, Texas, native leads the team in tackles (80), tackles for loss (21), sacks (12.0) and quarterback pressures (18). He ranks first in the league and tied for third in the FBS in sacks (1.5 pg), as well as tied for 22nd nationally in fumbles recovered (0.25 pg/three).
Jeffcoat ranks tied for third on Texas' career TFL list with 59 and eighth in sacks with 26.5.
