Longhorn trio caps off Last Chance weekend at Alex Wilson Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The No. 11 Texas Women's Track & Field team rounded out competition at the Alex Wilson Invitational on the final weekend of qualification leading up to NCAAs with a pair of Longhorns posting personal bests.
Senior Kendra Chambers and junior Katie Hoaldridge each raced in the 800 meters. Chambers finished fourth and ran a 2:06.03, a personal best in an event that she only began to specialize in during the 2012 outdoor season. Teammate Hoaldridge, who at last weekend's Big 12 Championships competed in the 1,000 meters for the first time and placed fourth, posted an 800m indoor career best of 2:11.35.
Junior Marielle Hall also ran for UT on Saturday, tallying a time of 5:05.89 in the Mile.
Following the completion of this weekend's meets, the top 16 individuals in each event and top 12 relay teams will pick up qualification for the NCAA Indoor Championships, March 8-9 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
