NOTES AT A GLANCE
• Texas visits Morgantown, W.Va., for the second time in program history to face West Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 12 (11 a.m. Central, FOX Sports Network). WVU holds an all-time series advantage of 2-1. The Mountaineers and Longhorns split the regular season series as first-time Big 12 opponents last year.
• Comeback Victory: On Wednesday, Texas overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat No. rv/22 Oklahoma in overtime, 79-74. Senior GiGi Mazionyte went 3-for-3 from 3-point range in the second half, including the game-tying trey with 36 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. Texas shot 9-of-10 at the free throw line in overtime to clinch the victory.
• Big 12 Play: After three Big 12 conference games, Texas leads the league in assists (47; 15.7 apg). The Longhorns are shooting 52.9 percent from inside the 3-point line during conference play.
• Strong Defense: Through Jan. 9, Texas ranks 3rd in the nation in field goal percentage defense (.325), 13th in scoring defense (55.4 ppg) and 7th in rebounding margin (+12.9). UT has held eight opponents under 32 percent shooting and is on pace to set a 38-year-old program record for field goal percentage defense (.355), set in 1975-76.
• Advantage in the Paint: Texas has out-rebounded its opponents by an average of 45.1-to-32.3 per game, for a +12.9 rebound margin which ranks 2nd in the Big 12. The Longhorns lead their opponents in average points in the paint, 35.6-to-15.7.
• Team Leader: Junior forward Nneka Enemkpali ranks fourth in the Big 12 in rebounding (8.5 rpg), sixth in field goal percentage (.593) and eighth in scoring (14.5 ppg). Enemkpali leads the Longhorns in all three categories (points, rebounds, field goal percentage).
• In the last five games, point guards Krystle Henderson and Celina Rodrigo combine for a 66-to-27 (2.4) assist/turnover ratio. In the first eight games, the duo combined for a 46-to-34 (1.3) ratio.
