• No. 3/3 Texas (8-0) faces McNeese State (5-3) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Central in Austin. The game will be televised nationally on Longhorn Network and broadcast on the Longhorn IMG Radio Network (KVET 1300 AM).
• Series info: Texas leads the series with McNeese State, 5-0. Wednesday will mark the fifth consecutive meeting in Austin. UT won the last meeting, 80-26, on Dec. 1, 2005 in Austin. The series dates back to a 97-65 Texas victory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the AIAW Region 4 Tournament on March 6, 1980.
• Enemkpali reaches 1,000 points: Senior forward Nneka Enemkpali will be presented with a commemorative basketball before Wednesday's game for becoming the 37th Longhorn to join the 1,000-point club with 10 points on Sunday against Northwestern State. Enemkpali has 1,002 career points and is averaging 12.0 points and 8.6 rebounds this season.
• Last time out: Texas defeated Northwestern State on Sunday, 74-34. Sophomore center Kelsey Lang and freshman guard Tasia Foman led UT with 12 points each. Foman came off the bench to reach her career-high 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in just 13 minutes. Senior forward Nneka Enemkpali registered her second consecutive double-double and 24th of her career with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Longhorns committed just 10 turnovers -- the Lady Demons did not score off of any UT turnovers. NSU's 34 total points marked the second time this season Texas has held its opponent to under 40 points.
• Dominating the boards: Texas features a rebounding margin of +15.6, which ranks fourth in the nation. The Longhorns average 45.2 rebounds per game.
• Solid starts: The undefeated Longhorns have led at halftime in all games and hold a +19.3 scoring margin in the first half. The Longhorns are holding opponents to an average of 21.4 first-half points and a .299 first-half field goal percentage. In six home games, no Texas opponent has scored over 20 points in the first half.
• Undefeated: UT's 8-0 start is the best since beginning the 2008-09 season with an 11-0 record. The 2014-15 Longhorns are the seventh team in program history to begin the season with an 8-0 record.
• In the rankings: Texas remained at No. 3 in both national polls this week, while reciving four first-place votes in the Associated Press' poll and one first-place vote in the USA Today Coaches' poll.
• Final exams complete: The University of Texas concluded its fall semester on Dec. 16 -- the last day of final exams.
