• Tuesday's contest marks the fourth meeting between Texas and Stanford.
• The Horns own a slim 2-1 lead in the all-time series that dates back to a 72-46 win by the Cardinal at Stanford on Dec. 22, 1962.
• UT posted an 83-75 upset against No. 11 Stanford in Chicago in the Dell Classic 4 Kids on Dec. 1, 2001. T.J. Ford was a freshman and would lead the Horns to the NCAA "Sweet 16" that season.
• In the most recent meeting (March 28, 2008), No. 7 Texas topped No. 10 Stanford 82-62 in the NCAA "Sweet 16" at Houston's Reliant Stadium. The Longhorns were led by Bob Cousy Award winner D.J. Augustin, while the Cardinal featured the Lopez twins (Brook and Robin).

• DOMINATING THE GLASS: Through games of Dec. 21, the Horns lead the nation in rebound margin at +15.5 (45.1-29.5). UT has outrebounded its opponents in 10 of its first 11 games and posted double-digit rebound margins in nine of its first 11 contests. Texas registered a +12 (40-28) advantage on the glass in Saturday's win against Long Beach State.
• BLOCK PARTY: UT is averaging 7.6 blocks per game (fourth nationally through games of Dec. 21). Texas has registered at least seven blocks in eight of their last 10 contests entering Tuesday's game against Stanford.
• FELIX BREAKS OUT: Junior guard Javan Felix had a season-high 17 points (6-of-9 FG, 3-of-5 threes), four rebounds and three assists against just one turnover in 33 minutes off the bench in Saturday's win against Long Beach State. Felix ranks third on the team in scoring (9.1 ppg) in 25.2 minutes per game through the first 11 contests.
