• No. 4/4 Texas (6-0) faces Southern University (1-4) on Monday at 11 a.m. Central in Austin during the fourth annual 40 Acres Field Trip. The game will be televised nationally on Longhorn Network and broadcast on the Longhorn IMG Radio Network (KVET 1300 AM).
• 40 Acres Field Trip: Centered around Monday's game is the fourth annual 40 Acres Field Trip, where Texas Athletics and the Frank Erwin Center open their doors to approximately 5,000 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders in Central Texas for exposure to college athletics and a unique experience with higher education. • Series info: Texas leads the all-time series with Southern, 4-0. Three of the previous four meetings have been postseason matchups -- two in the AIAW era and one in the NCAA era. The series dates back to an 85-69 Texas victory on March 8, 1978 in the AIAW Region 4 Tournament. Texas won the last meeting, 71-23, on Nov. 30, 2006 in Austin.
• 6-0: Texas' 6-0 record marks the best start since beginning the 2008-09 season with an 11-0 record. The 2014-15 Longhorns are the 10th team in program history to begin the season with a perfect 6-0 record.
• Last time out: Texas defeated New Mexcio by 49 points, 86-37, on Wednesday evening. Brady Sander's 13 points led a balanced scoring arsenal as the UT defense held the Lobos to 28.9 percent shooting from the field and just 12 points in the first half.
• First half flurry: Texas has led at halftime in all five games and holds a +15.3 scoring margin in the first half. The Longhorns are holding opponents to an average of 22.2 first-half points and a 30.0 first-half field goal percentage. In four home games, no Texas opponent has scored over 20 points in the first half.
• Enemkpali nearing 1,000 points: Senior forward Nneka Enemkpali has 974 career points, 26 away from becoming the 37th Longhorn to join the 1,000-point club.
• Dominating the boards: Texas features a rebounding margin of +14.5, which ranks second in the Big 12 and ninth nationally. On Wednesday, Texas out-rebounded New Mexico 41-24.
• Burnt Orange paint: Texas is out-scoring its opponents in the paint by an average of 36.7-to-20.0 -- a scoring margin of +16.7 points in the paint. 48 percent of UT's total points are scored in the paint.
• Assists and turnovers: Texas is holding opponents to 8.0 assists per game, while the Longhorns are recording 16.2 assists per game on the offensive end. UT's opponents hold a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio, while Texas holds a 0.9 assists-to-turnover ratio.
• Moving up in the rankings: Texas moved up two spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 last Monday and moved up five spots to No. 4 in the USA TODAY Coaches' poll last Tuesday. It is the Longhorns' highest ranking in both polls since December 2008 (No. 4/4) after starting the season 11-0.
• Top 10 toppers: Texas features two wins over top-10 opponents this season -- at No. 6/1 Stanford (Nov. 20) and No. 4/5 Tennessee (Nov. 30) -- by an average scoring margin of 9.5.
• Injury update: Junior center Imani McGee-Stafford (leg) is not cleared to participate on Monday.
