No. 23 Oklahoma State edges No. 22 Women's Tennis, 4-3

Longhorns close the regular season Friday evening against Baylor.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 22 Texas (11-10, 6-2 Big 12) recorded singles wins from Ratnika Batra, Lina Padegimaite and Neda Koprcina, but No. 23 Oklahoma State (13-6, 7-1 Big 12) edged the Longhorns by a 4-3 count Sunday afternoon at UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
Oklahoma State opened the match with victories in two of three doubles matches to win the doubles point. UT's lone victory came from its second doubles team of Batra and Koprcina, who dealt Carla Tur Mari and Maria Alvarez an 8-6 defeat.
The Cowgirls' pushed their lead to 2-0 behind Victoriya Lushkova's 6-0, 6-2 win over Elizabeth Begley at first singles. UT's Batra improved to 8-0 in conference play and posted a 6-4, 6-2 win over OSU's Megan McCray at second singles. Texas' Lina Padegimaite evened the match at two behind her 6-3, 6-4 win over Karyn Guttormsen at fifth singles.
The Cowgirls reclaimed the lead behind a three-set win from Maria Alvarez over UT's Lana Groenvynck at sixth singles. UT's Pippa Horn saved four match points in the third set against OSU's Katarina Adamovic, but Adamovic prevailed and won 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 to clinch the Cowgirls' victory.
UT's Koprcina rallied from one set down and preserved a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory at third singles over OSU's Kanyapat Narattana.
Texas closes its regular season Friday evening (April 18) when it takes on Baylor in the Longhorns' final regular season match at Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
